About the event
Qigong, pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being.
Teacher Amanda began my learning under the tuition of Reg McKellor-Spence here in Cygnet, 21 years ago. She have had further tuition in Sydney from Master John Saw (Sarm Bao Qigong), & Master Chen Yong-Fa (Choy Lee Fut School).
She has been teaching a weekly class in Cygnet since 2009.
What is Qigong?
Qigong is the ancient healing practice which combines flowing body movements, awareness of breath and a calm, focused mind to cultivate life energy.
Qigong is sometimes described as 'moving meditation'.
Qigong teaches us to take responsibility for our life energy (Qi) by learning how to become aware of it and work with it.
Qigong can be done by anyone, any age, level of fitness or flexibility. It requires no equipment, special clothing or previous experience.
